How To Ask A Guy Out!

Have you been hoping for the hot looking guy at work or school to ask you out? Unfortunately, some guys are shy and will not have the courage to ask you out until they are absolutely sure you are interested. You can speed things up by making the first move and asking him out. Besides, some men like it and will find it very refreshing if you ask them out! Once you do go out with them, make sure you pick a cool first date venue.

It sure can be a little intimidating to approach a guy, but it will put you in control of your dating destiny! If you are not sure how to make this happen here are some tips for taking this bold step!

Make eye contact

Make eye contact across the room for long enough for him to notice, than look away. Make sure you don’t stare! Too much eye contact could make him uncomfortable.

Always smile

If you smile you will be seen as a confident and vibrant person. Looking away and not smiling will just make you seem uninterested and unapproachable.

Start flirting

You know how to do it. Use your best tricks! After flirting for a while you can say, “Have you heard about this new movie? I really want to see it” it will give him a perfect opportunity to suggest you see it together.

Buy him a Drink

If he catches your eye while you’re out with your friends, feel free to send over a beer. You will not only force him to make the next move to say thank you but you definitely will give him a sign that you’re interested.

Make small talk

Don’t be a chatterbox! Don’t be too obvious! Try to break the ice by commenting about the place or event you’re at. You will not only appear friendly but you will get him to feel comfortable around you.

Pick the right moment

Before you decide to ask him out make sure that you are alone with him to avoid embarrassment. If you think that it’s not the perfect time or place to ask for a date initially, then ask for his email and mobile number.

Suggest a friendly outing

Try to talk about your interests and your hobbies. Ask him what he did over the weekend, than you can suggest something similar for the next Saturday.

Make brief physical contact

A light touch on the arm will be just fine. You can also run your hand gently though his hair. While you are at it, give him a compliment. For example, you could say “I love your perfume”.

Laugh with him

Guys love to think that they are funny and will love it if you laugh at their jokes. Be playful and give signals that you’re interested.

Getting to know him

Make sure you ask him non-intrusive questions about himself. This will give you a much better opportunity to find out more about him and to determine if you really want to ask him out. For example, ask about his favorite food, sport and his current relationship status.

Be understanding

Lastly, be understanding. You should always keep in mind that some guys may just be getting over a breakup and might not be ready for anything romantic yet. So, if he is not ready to go on a date, you should respect his decision.

However, if you do get the chance to go on a first date, make sure you know what to talk about.

Women are so empowered these days that sometimes men are intimidated to ask them out! So, feel free to go for it. What’s the worst you can hear? “Thank you, I’m flattered, but no”.

Finally, remember that you should only ask a guy out if you really like him. There is no point in wasting anyone’s time.
