It’s Not You, It’s Me

When someone uses the “it’s not you, it’s me” phrase, believe me – they are lying! When it comes to love and problems of the heart, sometimes it is difficult to tell the truth. That is why today many people break up via SMS or via email or Facebook.

When people want an easy way out of a relationship, they sometimes use age old phrases to end things. If you were fed a cliche line like one of the following, here is what they probably meant to say:

They said: “I can’t fully commit myself to a relationship right now”.

They probably meant to say: “I’d rather walk barefoot on hot lava than go out with you again”.

They said: “My life is complicated right now and I cannot pay you the attention that you deserve”.

They probably meant to say: “I went out with you once and now I must be saved”.

They said: “We are different people”.

They probably meant to say: “If I am with the right person I would immediately run to the registrar, but I won’t go out with you again even if you are the last person in the world”.

Of course, maybe there really is no ulterior motive behind their statement. Either way, do not be upset because of a relationship ending. Do not let it affect your confidence. Move on. Your true love awaits you!
