How To Tell If A Guy Is Attracted To You
Sometimes it’s really hard to tell if a guy is attracted to you. Yes, you find him attractive and you’d like to get to know him better but do you dare just walk up to him and ask him straight out? You probably wouldn’t want to put yourself or him on the spot like that without knowing that he likes you back.
So, how do you tell if a guy is attracted to you?
There are different ways you can find out if a guy is interested in you without asking him directly.
Eye contact
Pay attention to eye contact. If a guy likes you he may either look away quickly if he is shy, or he may try to hold eye contact when he catches your eye. This can be uncomfortable if you don’t like him back but eye contact of this kind can be a giveaway for attraction.
If a guy likes you his pupils may dilate – this is quite hard to pick up on and you may come across as weird if you try and look closely at his eyes, so be careful. If you are in contact with him over a longer period of time this pupil dilation can get easier to pick up on gradually.
Body language
A guy that likes you will most likely give this away with his body language. You will find that he rarely turns his back to you, his hands and feet point towards you and he often leans towards you.
Contact and touching
If attracted to you, a guy may touch you lightly on the shoulder or arm when he speaks to you. If your knees or feet happen to touch you will most likely find he won’t move away.
Casual physical contact is a strong sign that a guy is attracted to you.
Nervousness and fidgeting
Some guys, if less confident, get nervous and fidgety around women they like – this can be a sign of attraction too.
Nervousness can be exhibited as nervous laughter, sweaty palms, fidgeting, restlessness, avoiding eye contact etc.
Teasing
Some guys will try to get your attention by playfully teasing you as this is a safe way for them to stay in conversation with you without revealing their feelings. Teasing can easily turn to flirting, especially if you reciprocate.
Trying to impress you
A guy that likes you will try to impress you. A guy’s natural instinct is to be the alpha male and show off in front of you to get your attention. If he has the opportunity, he will try and do things that he thinks will impress you – he will talk loudly in a crowd, boast about his abilities, tell jokes – and while doing so he will occasionally turn to see if you are paying attention.
There are always ways to know if a guy is attracted to you, it’s just a matter of paying attention and reading the signals.
